OUR MOPS GROUP
MEETING FORMAT
Louisville MOPS meets bi-monthly on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday from 9:00 - 11:00a at Legacy Church. The church address is Boulder, however, the location is just on the northwest side of Louisville off of South Boulder Road and 76th Street.
The goal for MOPS meetings is to offer a warm welcome to moms with children ages infant through kindergarten. For some moms, MOPS meetings may be their only time away from their children to have the opportunity to recharge, grow spiritually and connect with other women.
As a new mom, a stay-at-home mom, a working mom, a busy mom, a TIRED mom, you'll appreciate being able to sit down and enjoy coffee and breakfast snacks... with BOTH hands! If you're more comfortable keeping your newborn with you, you'll have plenty of other moms around to love on your little one while you get a break. Our meetings always start with time to have honest conversations with fellow table moms who understand the joys and frustrations of motherhood.
Before jumping into the meeting’s main topic, we love to share celebratory notes like the birth of a baby or potty training a child. We will also share prayer requests and event reminders. Our typical meeting then features a craft or a speaker on a topic relevant to parenting young children in an ever changing world. We'll have speakers that give practical tips on parenting, health, marriage, etc., as well as speakers that bravely share their stories! There is always time to chat with fellow members about the meeting topics before closing in prayer as a group. Everyone then helps out with clean-up before heading to pick up their kiddos from childcare. We try to foster a relaxed environment for our meetings and we encourage moms to come in comfortable clothing.

Louisville MOPS group plans two additional meet-up opportunities each month. Typically hosted on the 2nd and 4th week of the month, our MOPS group schedules a playdate at a local park or kid-friendly venue and a Moms Night Out at a local venue in the evening. These events are wonderful opportunities to get to know MOPS members better!
LEADERSHIP
Louisville MOPS is coordinated by a dedicated group of mamas who are members of the group. Each year, different moms like you volunteer to help make the group a success. Volunteer roles include everything from leading prayers to serving as a table leader to coordinating speakers and scheduling events. Our group also welcomes Mentor Moms who are women with grown children of their own (and often grandchildren!). Mentor Moms offer support to our members as they navigate challenges and celebrate joys. Mentor Moms share wisdom with the group that they have learned from their experiences raising children in an ever changing world.
